    • Should there be a lack of attendance accompanied by an increasing number of homework assignments showing up in the grader's box during class time, assignments will no longer be posted.  Come to class to find out what is due and when.
      • Assignment 1: Section 2.1 Problems 1, 4, 9, 13, 16, 20, 28 and WeBWork Sec-2.1.

    • Select the University of Redlands.
    • Click on the first set of Math 121 sections.
    • Go down to our section (Jim Bentley, 8:00) and click on the green arrow on the right.
    • Create a new account.  This account will work for a couple of weeks -- until the books arrive in the bookstore.  After that you'll have to enter the code that you get with the book.

    • Pass the Oinkers:  A fun way to get a feel for probabilities and expected values.  Play the game here or download everything you need to play it on your Java enabled machine.
    • Definition of Limit:  An applet that lets you choose epsilons and deltas to find the limit of a function at a point.
  • Utilities:
    • Newton-Raphson: Download the x=cos(x) or sqrt(x) Maple notebooks to view the iterative fit of the given function.  Both notebooks can be modified to fit whatever function you choose.  (Both files in a .ZIP file.)
    • Riemann Sums: Download the general sum Maple notebook (zipped) to view the left and right-hand sum approximations to the definite integral of given function.  The notebook can be modified to fit whatever function you choose.
