HW 1 A: Say you hail a friend across campus, about 100 yards away
a. When would it take linger, in the dead of winter or in the heat of summer?
b. Using a northern winter temperature of Tw = -20 °F (for Minnesota), and a southern summer temperature of Ts = 110 °F, what would be the time difference?
(be careful of units)
B: Plot vsound vs. Temperature over the range of temperatures from –20 to 110 °F.
(Note: the book’s equation assumes T is in Celsius, but an equation given in class uses T in Fahrenheit.)
