Final Project: Linear Narrative




In this project you will create an animated story that contains a beginning, middle, and end.
Your main objective is to design a conceptual storyboard and use it to develop your linear narrative.
You must also demonstrate your mastery of animation concepts and related skills, including Inverse Kinematics,
camera movements, and use of sound.

Project Guidelines





The final movie must feature your own original drawings or hand drawn/painted artwork that has been digitized. If you choose to use artwork or graphics that are not original, limit them to no more than three elements and cite this work in the rolling credits of the movie.

Project Checklist for Evaluation


Movie Dimensions You must use a 16:9 dimension for your movie. Please use a width of 960 and a height of 540. 5%
Story Images Graphics can be created in any software you choose. You must create all graphics. 20%
Camera Movements Use zooms, pans, and alpha transitions tell your story. 20%
Frame-by-frame Animation Employ Frame-by-frame animation for at least one animated element of your movie. 10%
Project Complexity Points will also be given for project complexity as well as the overall look of the final product. 25%
Sounds Sounds must be used in the final animation. 10%
Class demonstration and upload to Canvas Be prepared to demonstrate your final movie to the class. Upload the .wick file to Canvas 5%
