2004 - present  Conservation Ecologist / Senior Scientist for the Redlands Institute, University of Redlands, Redlands CA.  Major Project: The Desert Tortoise Project.

2002 - 2004  Post Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Biodiversity and Conservation Biology, University of the Western Cape, Bellville, South Africa. Worked on South African tortoise biodiversity and conservation. Specifically examined the ecology of the Tent tortoise (Psammobates tentorius tentorius).

2002  Research Fellow in the Center of Applied Biodiversity Science (CABS) at  Conservation International, Washington DC. Worked on national and international conservation of reptiles and amphibians. Helped in developing a global action plan for turtle and tortoise conservation (Turtle Conservation Fund).

1998 - 2000 Distribution, status, and reproductive biology of the Radiated Tortoise Geochelone radiata in southwest Madagascar.
