Kaboudan's experience is mostly in academia. His teaching and research career started in 1985 after spending five years in nonacademic positions (Pennsylvania Power & Light and Kuwait's Institute of Scientific Research). Since 1985 he taught quantitative and economics courses in business programs. His research since 1990 has been focused on forecsting nonlinear phenomena using computational techniques.
