Lyrics:

Mikan no hana ga saiteiru
Omoide no michi oka no michi
Haruka ni mieru aoi umi
Ohune ga tooku kasunderu
Translation:

Mandarin flowers are blooming along
this path, cutting through this hill full of
memories. Far away, I see the
blue sea, and a white ship in the haze.
Kuroi kemuri o hakinagara
Ohune wa doko e ikuno deshoo
Nami ni yurarete shima no kage
Kiteki ga boo to narimashita
As the ship releases its black smoke, I
wonder where it is going. A wave sways
it behind an island. And the ship only
becomes a sound. Bou.
Itsuka kita oka kaasan to
issho ni nagameta ano shimayo
Kyoo mo hitori de miteiruto
Yasashii kaasan omowareru

A long time ago, I came to this hill
with my mother. Together we watched
this island. Today I came again, but
alone. Watching this island, thinking
about my kind mother.
